When I was in 11th grade I got a little behind in my math class, Algebra II, early in the school year. I slacked off instead of trying to catch up and I ended up getting an F for the year. (I can truly only blame this on myself. My teacher at the time was not only older than dirt, but extremely friendly and I remember her going out of her way multiple times to assist me. You live you learn. I was a bit of a schmuck as a student.) So in 12th grade, I took it again. I worked hard and got an A. As a freshman in college, because I had only completed Algebra II in high school, I was required to begin with ‘Intro to Algebra.’ Much to my surprise, the college level ‘Intro to Algebra’ is the exact same as high school Algebra II. Another A. A few years later I enrolled in some classes at a local community college and was required to take a math. And once again, because of my history with college level math, I was required to take ‘Intro to Algebra.’ After about two weeks the instructor realized what I had been saying about my knowledge of the class was true. I ended up tutoring some students that needed help and even taught the whole class a couple of times.

From that experience I realized I enjoy helping with the education of others. I get that opportunity a lot with TS. Most people think TS is only what you see in the movies and on TV. Far from it! While I like to laugh through my experiences with TS, I do enjoy honestly teaching others about it. (I am also full up to my eyeballs in random facts! I learn about a dozen new facts every day, and irritate the daylights out of my wife by sharing most of them.)

If you have any questions, about TS, me, Ken Griffey Jr.’s batting average in 1992, or anything else, feel free to get in touch with me! stookeyspeaker@hotmail.com and I’ll respond as promptly as I can.

I have social media but don’t use it nearly as much as high school girls do. (Or my wife! That woman checks her facebook more than a nervous high school boy checks for zits on the way to prom!) But feel free to look me up on facebook or follow me on twitter.

I also speak to groups and I enjoy it! I have been speaking to large groups for over 15 years on a wide variety of topics and can cater any talk/speech to the age of the group and the topic requested. I can be as funny as a stand-up comic or as serious as teaching lessons on the Bible. (I’ve actually done both!) If that is something you’re interested in, send me an email at stookeyspeaker@hotmail.com and we can set something up. PLEASE NOTE: At the time being, because of a new child in the house and being fairly new at my job, my speaking engagements will most likely be limited to the state of Arkansas. As my children grow and as I inch my way up the totem pole at work, that will expand. Please do not let that stop you from getting in touch with me though. You never know, we still may be able to work something out!
